We do the job right from the beginning; that includes ensuring our client has our complete attention. How does a homeowner choose a builder/contractor for a construction job? The homeowner should look at the photographs in a contractor’s portfolio, then go physically view the actual job. Walk around it. Talk to the owners about their satisfaction with the quality of the construction, length of time to build, and reasonableness of the costs involved. How do we get started with Shelton Builders?
Who does the design drawings? Wendi, you are talking to the draftsman. I do the drawings for every job. Is there a payment plan? Yes, and it is very simple. After the drawings and specifications are agreed upon, a small down payment is made. The down payment is usually about 10% of the contract total. The remainder is paid in “draws” (usually about four) that reflect the amount of work done to date. How ``Big’’ is Shelton Builders? We aren’t going to build the next 15-story wonder in Anne Arundel County – and we don’t want to. Instead, we want to make each project the best it can be. Towards that goal, Shelton Builders has developed a team of professionals who work on every job. Shelton Builders cleans its worksite everyday before leaving and tidies up any piles of visible materials. Our workers are not allowed to smoke or play radios inside a client’s home at any time.
