I call them “garden rooms” because they are attached to the rear of the house and they overlook the garden.

   A Shelton-designed garden room has most, or all, of these characteristics:

  • Lots of windows, including a dramatic gable design
  • Vaulted ceilings
  • Skylights
  • A kitchen “pass-thru” and access to the family room
  • Fully independent heating and air conditioning systems
  • Exterior and interior finishes that match the existing house
  • An adjoining deck with composite deck surface and vinyl rail system
